Tribiotic is a drug in the form of an ointment for topical application to the skin. The active substances in the preparation are three broad-spectrum antibiotics: bacitracin, neomycin and polymyxin B. The ointment is used to prevent the development of bacterial infections in the case of minor wounds, scratches and burns.
Bacitracin is a peptide antibiotic, active mainly against Gram-positive bacteria, including staphylococci, streptococci, Clostridium species (spp.), Corynebacterium spp and selected Gram-negative bacteria: Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus influenzae. Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic with a bactericidal effect primarily on Gram-negative bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Enterococcus faecalis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Haemophilus influenzae, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Enterobacter spp., Prote us mirabilis, Proteus indolododatni, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Polymyxin B is a polypeptide antibiotic that is also bactericidal against Gram-negative bacteria, but has no effect on Gram-positive bacteria.
Tribiotic ointment can be used externally in adults and children over 12 years of age as protection against bacterial infection that may result from skin injury.

1 g of ointment contains:
Antibacterial.
The ointment should not be used for more than 7 days.
Store below 25°C in a tightly closed container to protect against moisture.
