Hydrogen peroxide is a product intended for topical application to the skin and, when appropriately diluted, for use as a mouthwash. It helps cleanse and disinfect minor wounds and skin lesions. When diluted, it can also be used as an auxiliary mouthwash for periodontal disease and for rinsing periodontal pockets in inflammatory conditions.
