Description

Sanosvit Calcium is a medicine in the form of a syrup banana flavor containing gluconolactobionate as active ingredients calcium and calcium lactobionate.

Composition

The active substances are calcium gluconolactobionate and calcium lactobionate.
The other ingredients are: sucrose, propionic acid, sodium benzoate, hydrochloric acid, banana flavor, purified water.

5 ml of syrup contains:
Calcium gluconolactobionate 1442.5 mg
Calcium lactobionate 313.6 mg

Action

Calcium is the basic mineral component necessary to maintain the water-electrolyte balance of the body and proper functioning of many regulatory mechanisms. he is an important component of bone tissue, determines proper conductivity nervous and muscle contractility. It is essential in the clotting process blood. Reducing the permeability of the walls of blood vessels calcium has anti-exudative, anti-swelling and anti-inflammatory properties.

The organic calcium compounds contained in the drug are easily absorbed by organism. Administration of the drug complements the deficiency of calcium in the body and reduces swelling and allergic reactions.

Indications

Sanosvit Calcium is used in prophylaxis and replenishment of calcium deficiency in the body, e.g. during pregnancy or lactation, in the treatment of osteoporosis, supporting the treatment of symptoms allergies.

Contraindications

Do not use the drug if the patient has:

• allergy (hypersensitivity) to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of the drug,
• hypercalcemia (increased concentration of calcium in the blood serum), e.g patients with hyperactive parathyroid glands, hypervitaminosis D, multiple myeloma and bone metastases,
• severe hypercalciuria (increased excretion of calcium in the urine).

If you are taking high doses of vitamin D.
If you suffer from galactosemia or diabetes.
If you have previously been told that you have an intolerance to some sugars, the patient should contact the doctor before taking the medicine.
Due to the content of sucrose, Sanosvit Calcium should not be used use in people with hereditary metabolic diseases such as: fructose intolerance, malabsorption syndrome glucose-galactose, sucrase-isomaltase deficiency.

Side effects

Rarely may occur:

• Gastrointestinal disorders (flatulence, constipation or diarrhoea).
• In people with renal failure, oral administration of high doses calcium leads to hypercalcemia, the symptoms of which are: anorexia, gastrointestinal disorders, muscle weakness, polyuria, kidney damage.

Side effects may occur when calcium intake is exceeded 2000-2500 mg/day, with long-term use or in people with kidney failure.

Some people may experience side effects other than those listed above while taking Sanosvit Calcium.

Using other medications
